Expanding business to a new market feels risky—that is unless one’s intuition tells them otherwise. I recently heard someone say, “Stay with the courage of your convictions.” As business owners that is what we aim to do everyday. We must stay focused, or our business may not sustain itself.

My intuition has been talking to me for several months about approaching food cart vendors with affordable accounting and payroll services. Hey, food carts need to keep records, pay employees and want to grow their business—like any food service business, whether you walk up or walk in, eat on the sidewalk or sit on a pretty chair. Pockets, or I should say “pods,” of carts thrive on corners and parking lots all across Portland so it seemed a natural group to reach out to. But offering accounting and payroll services to this community is more than finding new “niche” for me to market. It’s about reaching out to another group of small restaurant owners who, at the end of the day, want to know their bottom line.

So, it is with great excitement that we launch this web site and prepare to hit the streets and talk to you all about how we can partner together. Outsourcing services is certainly uncharted territory for some. Others may feel they have their bases covered already or could no way afford it. Either way, we’re looking forward to talking with you about your business.
